I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree from the department of journalism in December 2014. Because I have many skills and like to take on many different projects my study emphasis was public relations. This allowed me to gain multiple experiences in different areas of journalism. I know how to write, create advertising and media campaigns, and work with multiple media tools such as social media, web design and a digital camera.
My career trajectory has taken a new course and lead me home. I am working with Wisconsin Tubing, Inc. in Omro, Wis. This has been a family business since 1973, and my goal is to see it through another generation. In order to accomplish this I will be exercising the skills I learned at UW Oshkosh to bring this company into the future of business and the online world.
A secondary goal of mine is to be a freelance writer for agricultural publications. My experience growing up on a dairy farm and continuing my passion for the dairy industry provides a solid foundation for spreading the word about the latest and greatest in the industry.
My spare time is often spent volunteering with the Winnebago County Youth Development program. As a 4-H dairy project leader for Winnebago County, I work with other parents and leaders to create an educational and memorable experience for youth in the county who are interested in dairy. Outside of these activities I am very active. I enjoy running, playing volleyball, practicing yoga and spending quality time on my family farm.
